Cappella is an award-winning mixed voice choir based in Dublin City Centre.

Weekly rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings from 7:15pm.

Cappella’s present formation dates from 1998 when Vincent Whelan became Musical Director. From the outset it was decided to combine high quality competitive singing with vibrant concert performances.

Cappella has made its mark on the competition circuit, winning prizes in both Ireland and the UK. The choir has had the great privilege of singing for the President of Ireland, as well as performing in events in the National Concert Hall, Farmleigh House and the National Gallery of Ireland.

The choir has toured extensively throughout the UK, France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Cappella performs a varied repertoire ranging from popular music and traditional Irish folk, to classical and sacred music.

New members are always welcome. For further information on joining the choir click here.
